The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has a vision to spread the Word of God to the ends of the earth. We are a Bible believing church, where the teaching of the word of God is paramount. We are also a mission sending church that believes in reaching people of all races, sizes and stature. We have a culture that emphasizes proper conduct and moral behavior. The church is appealing to all types of people worldwide, with a determination to teach people in their various geographical settlements, phases of secular life and as well as spiritual development.
Our Mission Statement is:
- To make heaven.
- To take as many people as possible with us.
- To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.
- To have a parish in every 5mins walking distance and 5mins drive in every city of the world
Or put another way, the mission of RCCG is to propagate the message of the Christian Scriptures around the world and to proclaim the salvation found in Christ. As a church, it seeks to convert lost souls and reconcile them with their Creator.
The General Overseer of the church is Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Here in New Zealand, the resident pastors are Pastor and Mrs Adelowo.
The first church was founded in 1952 and since then, it has grown to over 5,000 parishes worldwide with a total congregational strength of over one million people.
Presently, there are established missions in many African countries, as well as Europe, Asia, the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, South America and the pacific.
